The Place Where the Unconscious Takes Shape
Nerida Art Studio
Welcome to my world, where animals emerge from the world of dreams and take shape through matter, color, and texture.

Artist
My artistic practice emerges from the intersection of memory, dreams, and the unconscious. From an early age, I felt a deep connection to animals and the natural world. I often preferred the company of animals to playing with other children, spending long hours alone in meadows and gardens, imagining hidden worlds among flowers and beneath leaves.
In that world, the forms of nature were constantly transforming: maple leaves became birds, fir branches turned into porcupines, and dried flower stems took on new identities. Insects, birds, cats, and horses were my companions in a space where reality and imagination existed without boundaries.
Growing up in a family of psychologists, I developed a strong interest in the symbolic language of dreams and the unconscious. To this day, dreams remain an essential source of inspiration for my artistic practice.
The animals that inhabit my artworks are not naturalistic representations but symbolic presences. Through abstraction, textured surfaces, and three-dimensional reliefs, I transform these inner visions into tangible forms.

Composition and Technique

I use mixed media techniques to create my artworks, working mainly with plaster (stucco) and acrylic paint. My works are highly textured, hand-modeled to create depth and tactile surfaces.
Note: all artworks are delivered ready to hang.
The works are created on a wooden or canvas base.
